16 & 35 MM Microfilm Digitisation
We have a great deal of experience in digitising microfilm from 16 mm & 35 mm, Cartridge, blipped, un-blipped, simplex, duplex etc. 16 mm was usually used to store office documents (HR records, cheques, invoices) and anything up to approximately the size A4. Whereas 35mm was used to store newspapers, books, drawings, manuscript etc.
Special & Delicate Collections
For special and delicate collections we have a series of overhead scanners. These can be used with non destructive light and ensure that the handling of documents/records/item is kept to a minimum. We have scanned all types of items from documents dating back to the 15th Century at high resolutions so that derivatives works could be created through to journals from Europe dating back 200 years to contracts, company reports and paper reports.
Post Processing
Scanning a document is only the first step of digitising a record. With Intelligent Image Processing we can ensure that a document is not only scanned but is capture at its best. Therefore we ensure that the there is anti-reflection of gloss documents, smart tilt correction (anti-skew), rotation adjustment, cropping as well as aperture correction, contrast correction, auto-flatten (mainly for bound documents, books) and in many cases we can handle colour, grayscale, black and white, pattern and stamped documents.
